Modifying a cost

You can modify a cost:

Note: When modifying a cost, all of the fields are not available for change. Some fields are protected in order to ensure the proper usage. For example, you cannot modify the following in your cost: Identifier, currency, or the fields in the Parameters tab.

To modify a cost in the New Simulation window

  1. In the New Simulation window, click the Costs tab.

  2. In the Costs area, click the cost that you want to modify. The cost window is displayed.

  3. Make changes to the cost. The procedures are the same as those used to set up a price plan.

  4. Verify the cost price plan structure by clicking on the main window toolbar. Correct all elements underlined in red.

  5. Save the cost.

To modify a cost saved as an XML file

  1. Make sure that the New Simulation window in which you want to open the cost is open and active.

  2. On the File menu, click Open. The Open dialog box is displayed.

  1. In the Look in list, select the folder where the cost is saved.

  2. In the folder, select the cost, and then click the Open button. The Open Parameters dialog box is displayed.

  3. Click the Open as Sub-Element of Current Object option.

  4. Select the cost, and then click Open. The Opening Price Plan dialog box is displayed.

  5. Click the Open Price Plan as Cost Price Plan option, and then click the Open button. The cost window is displayed.

  6. Make changes to the cost. The procedures are the same as those used to set up a price plan.

  7. Verify the cost price plan structure by clicking on the main window toolbar. Correct all elements underlined in red.

  8. Save the cost.
