A cost is the amount that is charged or given in payment for services or goods. In Simulation Tool, a cost is represented by a price plan dependent on a main price plan. You can create and link one or more costs to a main price plan. A cost is used to represent a business scenario. For example, the amount that is paid to a supplier is defined as a cost, which is dependent on the main price plan; however, a main price plan may have no costs because costs are not mandatory.
Costs can be used to model three distinct types of business scenario, in which a vendor pays:
An agent
A supplier
Both an agent and a supplier
Agents and suppliers are third parties.
Before creating a cost, learn how to calculate a cost and link a cost to a price plan. This information is important to set up your cost.
