Create or Change an External Account

Business Context and Use

This service operation is used in the provisioning context, generally by a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) process component. This operation is used to maintain an external account stored in SAP Convergent Charging.

Business Agreement Management

Your CRM application or another provisioning system manages master data related to the business agreements between partners and replicates data in SAP CC by maintaining some subscriber data for end customers of the service provider. Data includes: Prepaid accounts and external (postpaid) accounts

Features

This operation enables to create or change an external account. If the external account identified by its identifier does not exist then it is created. If the external account identified by its identifier exists then it is modified.

Error Handling

Please refer to the information about message handling in the external account business object. The following is a non-exhaustive list of errors:

• The external account cannot be maintained to comply with the object in the maintain request.
• A field is invalid such as the currency code.
• The external account does not exist and a required field is missing such as the identifier of the external account, the identifier of the related subscriber account.

The SAP CC system may return an error stack that details the issue.
