A mapping table is a table of correspondence for mapping an input set of values to set of output values according to different periods of time.

Features

A mapping table is defined by:

  • An identifier which is unique in SAP CC system.
  • The identifier of the related mapping table class which refers to an existing mapping table class.
  • An owner, which is the name of the catalog it relates to. The owner of a mapping table is the one defined in the related mapping table class.
  • A description which contains a human readable definition of the charging logic implemented.
  • A set of rows.
Each mapping table row is defined by:
  • An identifier which is unique within the mapping table. This technical identifier is used to maintain this row, but is not involved in charging processes.
  • A validity period, defined by a start date and an end date.
  • A set of columns. Each column is defined by:
    • A name that is the name of a column defined in the related mapping table class.
    • A value which is one of the following:
      • A SAP currency
      • A string
      • A number
