Activate Charging Contracts in Bulk

Business Context and Use

The Charging Contract Bulk Activate operation triggers all the recurring charges related to a set of charging contract. This operation thus ensures that all recurring charges anterior to a provided date have been triggered. If no date is specified, the operation cannot be executed.

In order to limit the scope of charging contracts' activation, a filter on charging contracts can be specified. In such a situation, only the recurring charges of the charging contracts which match this filter are triggered. If no filter is specified, this operation triggers the recurring charges of all the charging contracts.

A maximum throughput can also be provided. It represents the maximum number of charging contracts which can be activated per second and per rater instance.

The Charging Contract Bulk Activate operation creates a job which immediately triggers the bulk activation of a set of charging contracts. The identifier of this job is returned and can be used to retrieve the status of the job (please refer to the Read the status of a job operation).
