For adding a charging component

You can add one or more charging components to the charging tree.

The charging branch is not a mandatory base because the charging plan already contains a Default component; however, if you create a charging branch, it must at least contain one of the following rate components: Usage Charging, Recurring Charging or One-Shot Charging.

To add and set up a charging component

  1. In the charging tree, click the charging plan icon .

  2. On the Components toolbar, move the pointer over Charging, and then click one of the following rate components: Usage Rate, Recurring Rate or One-Shot Rate.

  3. In the Name field of the right pane, type the name of the charging component.

  4. In the Description field of the right pane, describe the function of the charging component if necessary.

  5. Set up the charging component (*).

(*): For more information about setting up charging components, refer to the Help system relating to components: Click Components on the Help menu of the main window.

Note: When a charging plan contains several charging branches such as Usage charging, Recurring charging, and One-Shot charging, the charging branches are automatically arranged in this order in the charging tree:

  • Usage charging

  • One-Shot charging

  • Recurring charging

  • Default component

For example, if you add a new usage charging to the charging tree, it is automatically added after the last usage charging branch.
