Charge counters

Create or modify a charge plan before setting up a charge in the charge plan. In the left pane of the charge plan window, click a charge to view, and then open the Counters tab.

The Counters tab allows you to link the counter of a charge to a counter of the charge plan. In this tab, a table displays the list of all counters created at charge level. Each row in the table represents a counter.

Note: If the Counters tab is unavailable (dimmed), this means that no persistent counter was created in the original charge. To open the original charge, click the Definition tab of the charge plan, and then click next to the Charge field.

Fill in or modify the Counters tab.

Name: Displays the name of the charge counter.

State: Provides the list of counter status. Select one of the following status:

Not Redefined: Select this status if you do not want to link the counter to a counter of the charge plan
Linked: Select this status if you want to link the counter to a counter of the charge plan. This State enables you to redefine the initial value of the counter at charge plan level or to share this counter with other charges included in this charge plan.

Initial Value: Provides the initial value of the counter if the State of the counter is Not Redefined or the list of the counters defined at charge plan level if the State is Linked. In this case, select the counter that you want to link to your charge counter. The value of the charge counter is now the same as the value of the counter defined in the charge plan.
