The One-Shot Rate component creates in the
decision tree a main branch that is rated only when precise events related
to provider
contracts occur. These events are the following:
The activation of a provider contract item
The suspension or the resumption of a provider contract item
The rules are the following:
A price plan can contain several One-Shot Rates: For example, a One-Shot Rate for each type of the event such as Activation, Suspension, Resumption.
When you insert a One-Shot Rate in a price plan, the Charge Effective Date, the Suspension date, and the Resumption date of the provider contract item are available in the One-Shot Rate branch depending on the selected type of the event.
You use the One-Shot Rate component to trigger and rate events linked to provider contract items. You can use this component to rate the equipment installation fees, the creation fees of a contract, and so on.
For a chargeable item package called “Telephone Service”, every new customer has to pay a one-time installation fee, which is paid when the contract is signed. This charge can be rated with a One-Shot Rate, which is activated by the “Activation” event.
