You can change these function modules according to your company’s requirements or use other function modules. The system takes account of function modules entered under the following path in the IMG:

You can insert, append, delete and move entries manually in the table for the issue sequence. In addition, you can take account of exceptional cases, for example by entering alternative standard issue variant types for publication dates that are directly before a public holiday (Saturday edition is actually published on Friday). Once the issue sequence is complete, mark the required entries for generation of the media issue master records. You can also cancel selection. |
To edit the issue sequence, you can use the following functions, which always apply to selected entries:
|
Define and edit the quantity plan horizon |
You can restrict creation of (missing) quantity plan records in the quantity plan by defining the quantity plan horizon in the issue sequence. The system only creates quantity plan records for media issues that are within the quantity plan horizon. You can archive quantity planning records before the start of the horizon. According to the quantity plan horizon, new quantity plan records cannot be created in the archived period. By moving the horizon into the future, you release records for archiving. See also Use of the Quantity Plan Horizon . |

Use of Media Issue in Issue Sequences

If the media product master data is synchronized with the product master in Periodical Sales and Distribution, the system indicates the date to which planning has taken place in Periodical Sales and Distribution on the processing screen for the issue sequence. You cannot make changes to entries that are in the period for which planning has taken place.
