Processing the Worklist

Once the job for generating the object list has ended, you can translate the objects contained in this list from a worklist in translation SE63.

Context

The following information is limited to a description of ad hoc translation called directly via an object list.

Procedure

  1. Check the default settings for your user in transaction SE63.

    • Choose Start of the navigation pathUtilities Next navigation step User SettingsEnd of the navigation path.

    • Use input help (F4) to select the version of the source and target language ("deDE" for German and "enUS" for English US for example).

  2. Choose Start of the navigation pathWorklist Next navigation step CreateEnd of the navigation path. The My Worklist: Parameters dialog box appears.

    Make sure that the source and target languages are correct and choose Apply. The Create Worklist screen appears.

  3. Go to the Object List tab page.
    • Select the object list whose objects you want to translate.

    • Select Deactivate Selection and Deactivate Language Settings.

    • Choose Load Objects. The Worklist screen appears containing the objects of your object list that are to be translated.

  4. Choose Start of the navigation pathUtilities Next navigation step Refresh StatusEnd of the navigation path. You can see the number of rows to be translated for each object.
  5. By double-clicking an object in the list, you can open it in the short editor. Enter a translation in the target language for each row, choose to set standard quality status "S", and save your entries.
  6. Once you have finished translating, choose Back to quit the worklist.
