Object Design Time
Use
Object design time provides a set of tools for editing the definitions of the objects that build processes in Guided Procedures (GP).
To access the design time of an object, you must select the relevant object in the gallery, and choose Open.
In the object design time you can:
- Display an overview or a detailed view of the object definition
- Edit different aspects of the definition
Prerequisites
To be able to see and use the design time tools, you must hold one of the following GP portal roles:
- GP Basic User
- GP Advanced User
- GP Expert User

Structure
- Object name
The name you have provided at the time of object creation.
- Design time tools
These include tools for editing, versioning, object structure modeling, and activation:
Tool Icon Description Edit

Enables the edit mode on the object's details. When the object's design time opens, it is in read-only mode by default.
Toggle Multi Edit Mode

Enables the edit mode for the selected object, as well as for all levels in the hierarchy below and above it. The multi edit mode does not affect the objects that are on the same level as the selected one.
View

Enables the read-only mode on the object's details.
The function is inactive if a child of the selected object is in edit mode.
View All

Enables the read-only mode for the selected objects and all levels that are below it in the hierarchy.
Save

Saves the object that is currently selected.
This function saves the data that has been entered on all tab pages.
Save All

Saves all objects included in the process or block flow, as well as the callable objects in the actions.
Revert

Reverts the changes made to the selected object since the last time data was saved.
Save and Activate

Saves and activates the selected object, as well as all objects that are below the selected one in the hierarchy.
Update

Updates a selected deprecated object with its latest active version.
Adjust All

Propagates to the currently-selected object the changes that are made to the roles and parameters at the lower levels of the hierarchy.
Insert

Inserts an appropriate existing object under the selected level in the hierarchy. For example, you can insert a block into a process, an action, or a block into another block, and a callable object into an action.
Create New

Creates a new object and inserts it under the selected level in the hierarchy. For example, you can create and insert a block into a process, an action, or a block into another block, and a callable object into an action.
Move Up

Moves the selected object up in the process hierarchy. For example, you can move up actions in a block flow, or blocks in a process flow.
Move Down

Moves the selected object down in the hierarchy. For example, you can move down actions in a block flow, or blocks in a process flow.
Remove

Removes the selected object from the hierarchy.
Edit Usage Name and Description

Enables you to overwrite the default name and description of the selected object, which are assigned to it when the object is created.
- Object flow
Shows the hierarchy of sub items for the object. For example, a process template can have a block as a sub item, the block can consist of a sequence of actions, and so on. The view shows the status of each item in the flow, as well as other relevant details.
- Definition details
A set of tab pages containing object definition data grouped in categories. For example, Basic Data, Exceptions, Parameters, Roles, Permissions, and so on.
