Monitoring the Status of GP Applications
Use
The functions of the GP framework are implemented:
- In the central service of the Application Server (AS) Java
- As AS Java libraries
- As applications based on Web Dynpro and the AS Java
You can check the status and view the properties of all these modules. You can also see if there are indications of problems in the applications.
Procedure
Monitoring the Status of the GP System
To monitor the status of the GP system, open the Basic Information tab page. The view header area displays an overview of the system status. The Basic Information tab page gives you a more detailed overview of:
- The status and properties of the central GP servicecaf/eu/gp/model.
You can see whether the GP service is active in the Java cluster. You can also see the server's properties and their respective values.
- Available GP libraries and their statuses. The status of each library can be one of the following:
- Loaded- the library is properly loaded
- Missing- the library is not started
A library may be missing if the user has stopped it explicitly or there is an error in deployment.
- Running GP applications and their statuses.
You can also check the status of each server process running in the Java cluster. The status of the process can be one of the following:
- Started- the application is running properly (green light).
- Stopped- the application did not start or is terminated (yellow light).
- Missing - the application is not deployed in the running server process (red light).
- Other Status - no status available. In most cases, this is an error state.
