Entry of AddressesThis function is used to assign business partners during entry of sales document addresses.
It is available during entry of bill-to parties, voucher copy recipients, box number recipients and business partners in user-defined roles.
An address is required to send invoices, voucher copies, responses, correction deductions or ad spec masters.
You have entered a bill-to party, voucher copy recipient, box number recipient or business partner in a user-defined role for a sales document.
To display the addresses that can be assigned to a business partner, choose the
Address overview
function
(
Addresses).
The
Choose Address
dialog box appears. This contains the following address editing functions:
Function |
Use |
Copy addresses |
Select an address and assign this to the business partner. The system selects the current address assigned. |
Display addresses |
Display details of the address data. |
Enter addresses |
Enter an order-specific address. |
Display print preview |
Display a print preview for the selected address and format an address for label or form printing differently from that standard proposed in Customizing as required. If you cannot format an address differently from the standard Customizing proposal, even though this function is displayed on the dialog box, this means you have not assigned the address print format forms to each business partner role in Customizing. |
If the item can no longer be modified, the system displays valid addresses for the bill-to party but they cannot be modified.
The following two options for entering order-specific addresses are available to you:
Overwrite the corresponding fields in the table line for the business partner. (Does not apply to the bill-to party).
Choose the
Address Overview
function
(
Addresses),
the
Choose Address
dialog box appears and you can use the
Create Address
function
(

)
to enter an order-specific address.
This address is not updated in the business partner master data.
If an item can no longer be modified, you cannot enter an order-specific address for a bill-to party.
You can enter a contact person for a business partner.
If you enter a contact person with a home or business address for a business partner, the system determines the address specified.
If you enter a contact person with a home and business address for a business partner, the system uses the business address here. If you choose the
Home address for the contact person (CPHomeAdr.)
selection button, you can define the home address of the contact person as the address to be used.
A contact person without an address cannot be assigned. A contact person and an order-specific address cannot be assigned simultaneously.
