Execution from the Toolbar or Menu

The application toolbar provides the most common functions for the ABAP development environment. These include:

Function Icon / Button Description

Activate

Modified objects are saved as inactive versions initially if the object types are linked to the active/inactive procedure. If you choose Activate, you will see a list of all selected objects that are inactive. If no objects are selected, your entire worklist is displayed. From this list you can choose the objects you want to activate.

Check

A syntax check is performed for the selected objects.

Refresh

Removes objects that have been reset to the original. In addition, objects that have been adjusted by other users are displayed with their current adjustment state.

Modification Adjustment > Assign Transport

 

The Select Request/Task dialog is opened. From here you can enter the transport details you want to use for updating subsequent systems.

Reset Obsolete Notes

(Transaction SPDD only)

Reset Obsolete Notes

After a system update, obsolete SAP Notes are displayed with the icon because these SAP Notes are already contained in the update. These SAP Notes still need to be confirmed. You can perform a mass confirmation action for all obsolete SAP Notes using the pushbutton Reset Obsolete Notes.

Prepare Notes

After selecting this button, the Prepare SAP Notes for adjustment dialog is opened. It displays the following checkboxes:

  • Download latest version: To download the latest versions of all outdated SAP Notes.
  • Confirm obsolete SAP Notes: To reset all SAP Notes that are no longer required.
