Switching Between Variant Groups

As a user, you can switch between the variant groups.

Prerequisites

As a user, you require the relevant authorizations. More information: User Authorizations for Variant Groups.

To switch between variant groups, proceed as follows:

Call transaction SHD_SWITCH.
The initial screen displays a field showing the name of the currently active group.
Choose F4 to display the input help.
The system displays a list of all of the groups that you can choose. You can also select the "empty group" (no entry in the group name column), if it has been created.
Select a group.
The group that you have chosen is now displayed on the initial screen.
Save the new settings.
Follow the note on the initial screen and restart all applications.

Note

There can only be one group active at any one time. It is not possible to work with different variant groups in different sessions. You need to restart applications after changing group.
