Maintaining Variant Groups and Associated Transaction Variants

If you have created a variant group with the corresponding transaction variant, there are a number of maintenance functions available to you:

Maintaining Variant Groups

• In transaction SHD0, you can enter the group name on the Variant Groups tab page, and use the functions Create and Change to maintain the variant groups.
• You can use the where-used lists User and Transactions on the Variant Groups tab page to display:
  • Which users are assigned to the group
  • Which transactions are assigned to the group

 

Maintaining Transactions

Transaction variants that belong to a group are maintained in the same way as all other transaction variants. They are distinguished only by their naming convention (<name of the variant group><name of the transaction code>).

You can maintain transaction variants using the Transaction Variants tab page or the Variant Groups tab page. If you maintain the transaction variants using the Variant Groups tab page, you need to enter the transaction code, so that the name of the transaction variant can be determined.
