Reorganization of the Budget Processes in SAP BI and SAP ECC In the planning system (SAP BI) and the purchasing system (SAP ECC), you must reorganize budget numbers that are obsolete or no longer required, to reduce the volume of data contained in the tables in the budget numbers.
In addition, for budget numbers, you can delete obsolete budget types and DataStore objects (in SAP BI) along with their tables (in SAP ECC).
Note
Budget numbers and budget types cannot be archived.
The following dependencies apply when you are reorganizing budget processes:
If budget numbers are obsolete and no more associated documents exist, you can delete the budget numbers in SAP ECC.
Only when the budget numbers are deleted in the ECC system can you delete the budget numbers in SAP BI.
Only when all the budget numbers of a budget type have been deleted can you delete the budget type in
SAP ECC
.
Only when the budget type is deleted in SAP ECC and all budgets of this budget type are deleted in SAP BI can you delete this budget type in SAP BI.
You can use transaction WOTB4 to run a report that automatically determines and deletes the budget numbers in SAP ECC. You can start a simulation run for this also.
The result of the report is saved in the application log. You can display this using transaction
SLG1
, object
WRF_PRC
and subobject
OTB_REORG
.
You can use a report in transaction
WBUDG03
to delete the budget type in SAP ECC. You can display the result in the application log but you cannot save it.
You can use the
Budget Monitor
(transaction
UPARI_BUDGA
) or transaction UPARI_BUDG04 and an appropriate report to automatically determine and delete the budget numbers in SAP BI. You can display the result in the application log but you cannot save it.
You can use transaction
UPARI_BUDG05
to run a report that deletes the budget type in SAP BI. You can display the result in the application log but you cannot save it.
