Attribute Templates for Documents

Use

This function provides you with attribute templates for creating documents. You can define default values for modifiable attributes in a document, which means that you do not need to enter these values for each document on an individual basis.

You can make attribute templates available as personal templates or make these generally available to other users. It is also possible to define a template as a standard template. The system automatically includes default values for standard templates in a document.

Prerequisites

You have made settings for attribute templates in Customizing for Records and Case Management under Start of the navigation pathDocument Next navigation step Activate Attribute Templates for DocumentsEnd of the navigation path.

Attribute templates only support physical attributes and not logical attributes.

Features

  • Maintain attribute templates

Attribute templates are only displayed for selection when you create documents. When you save a new document, the Create Attributes dialog box appears. You can maintain attribute templates in the Attribute Template field using the function Use Attribute Template.

  • Standard Template
