Printer Status Feedback

Use

You can request status feedback for PAL Printers with the following access methods:

  • Access method S

  • Access method U

  • Access method L

  • Access method C

Prerequisites

Minimum support package levels for Target System(s):

SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Support Package 14

SAP Web AS 6.40 Support Package 22

SAP Web AS 6.20 Support Package 64

Process

After a PAL Printer has been created, you can access its status. Select the PAL Printer in the PAL Object List and choose Printer Status in the PAL Object Details section.

One of following status messages will be displayed:

  • Ready

  • Busy

  • Standby

  • Non-critical alert

  • Moving offline

  • Critical alert

  • Printer unavailable

  • Offline

  • Moving online

  • Unknown

  • Idle

  • Printing

  • Warm-up

Depending on the status message some additional information will be displayed with Info:

  • Low paper

  • No paper

  • Low toner

  • No toner

  • Door open

  • Jammed

  • Offline

  • Service requested

  • Input tray missing

  • Output tray missing

  • Marker supply missing

  • Output near full

  • Output full

  • Input tray empty

  • Overdue preventive maintenance
