Creating Write Variant for HRCMXTIMB

The write program for an archiving object writes data to an archive file and issues statistics on the archiving session. When you schedule jobs for the execution of write programs, you must enter a variant.

Context

The system uses the write program RP_HRCMX_TIMB_WRI to select the CDFi Digital Tax Stamp to be destroyed.

To run write for the destruction of data, you always need to create a variant (or select an existing variant). For this purpose, you have the following selection criteria and options for process control available:

  • Session ID of Preproc.Program: From the input help for this field, you choose the run in which the pre-processing program selected the data to be destroyed for this write program.

  • Comment/Note: You enter a short text for this archiving session for the destruction of data.

  • Description: This is the description of the preprocessing program run, and allows you to identify the particular Session ID of Preproc.Program. It is an output field only.

  • Test Run: If you select this checkbox, the write program is run in test mode. No ID is generated for write. If you do not select the checkbox, the write program is run in productive mode and a write ID is generated.

If you do not select this checkbox, the write program is started in productive mode and archive files are created for the destruction of data.

  • Detailed Log: If you select this checkbox, a detailed log is generated. Only use this option to perform an error analysis in test mode. Since the log is very detailed you must not use it in productive mode.

Procedure

  1. Start Archive Administration (transaction SARA).
  2. Enter the Archiving Object and choose Write.
  3. Enter a name for the variant and choose Maintain. The Variants: Screen Assignment dialog box appears.
  4. Define whether the variant is to apply to all selection screens of the program or to individual selection screens. Choose Continue.
  5. Enter the selection criteria and choose Attributes.
  6. Define the variant attributes.
  7. Save the variant.
