Dismantling Equipment with Simultaneous Material Movement You want to remove a piece of equipment from a superordinate piece of equipment or functional location and put it into storage.
Note
This function is only possible for equipment with a material number and serial number.
Choose
from the
SAP Easy Access
screen.
In the mode list field, select
Dismantle Equipment with Material Movement
if the appropriate screen is not automatically displayed.
Enter either a piece of equipment or a material and a serial number in the
Dismantle Object
group box, and choose
Enter.
The system automatically outputs the current installation location of the corresponding piece of equipment.
Enter either a reservation or a movement type.
Enter a reference order, if required.
Select an event type and a part status on the
Notification
tab page.
If you want to simulate the removal before saving, choose
Check.
You can display the search result in a full screen application log. Choose
Application Log
to do this.
Save your entries.
Note
You may have to activate the forced dismantling to override an error message issued by the system. In this case, choose
Forced Installation/Dismantling
and confirm the message in the following dialog box.
A forced dismantling is only possible after the simulation of the dismantling has taken place.
The equipment is removed from the object and the corresponding material is placed into storage. If the corresponding Business Add-In is active, a notification is generated or updated.
After the equipment is dismantled, a structure gap is automatically generated.
If forced dismantling was used to dismantle the equipment, a corresponding indicator is set on the
Configuration Control
tab page in the equipment master record.
