Technical System Landscape

 

This section provides you with an overview of possible technical system landscapes for HCM Processes and Forms:

  • Option 1:

    • SAP NetWeaver Portal

    • HCM back-end system

    With this option, the SAP NetWeaver Portal (front end) delivers specific iViews to start and finalize processes based on HCM Processes and Forms with the standard Portal Roles Employee, Manager and HR Administrator. The HCM back-end system delivers the application logic.

  • Option 2:

    • SAP NetWeaver Portal

    • HCM back-end system

    • Employee Interaction Center (EIC) front end based on CRM back-end system

    With this option, which allows EIC agents to start and finalize processes based on HCM Processes and Forms, the EIC delivers an additional front end which gives access to HCM Processes and Forms. The main front end of the EIC agent is a CRM-based front end. In this case, the HCM Processes and Forms front end is embedded in the EIC front end.

  • Option 3:

    • SAP NetWeaver Portal

    • HCM back-end system

    • E-Recruiting system (SAP or external)

    • XI server

    With this option, candidate data is collected initially in the E-Recruiting system. When a candidate is selected for hiring, this triggers the transfer of candidate data to the HCM system. This is executed on the technical level through an XI server. The XI server forwards the data to the HCM system. When the data is processed in the HCM System, a personnel number (PERNR) is created. This personnel number is then communicated back to the E-Recruiting System.
