Collecting Data for a Product Drilldown

You collect data for a product drilldown when you want to analyze aggregated data in drilldown reports.

To perform data collection for the product drilldown:

Choose Accounting Controlling Product Cost Controlling Cost Object Controlling . Choose the relevant application component, for example Product Cost by Period, then Information System Tools Data Collection Product Drilldown .
The screen Data Collection for Product Drilldown appears.
Enter the following data:
- Plant
  You can select a specific plant from which the data is to be summarized. If you leave this field empty, all plants in the Controlling area will be summarized.
- Time Frame
  SAP recommends summarizing across all open periods in Financial Accounting.
If desired, select Delete Values Outside Time Period.
If you want to use parallel processing for the data collection to reduce runtimes, enter a server group. If necessary, change the maximum number of tasks and the data records per task.
If desired, select Background Processing.
Choose Execute.

An overview of the completed data collection run is displayed.
