Example of Maintenance Plan CostingIn this example, maintenance plan costing is performed for a one-year analysis period from 01.01 to 31.12. The strategy assigned to the maintenance plan contains two maintenance packages:
Package 1: Every month (1M)
Package 2: Every three months (3M)
The following calculations take different package hierarchies .

Package 2 belongs to a higher hierarchy than package 1.

Determination of Costs
The system totals the maintenance calls determined for a specified analysis period (= frequency) for each scheduling combination.
The service simulates a maintenance or service order for each maintenance call.
The costs to be expected are derived from the multiplication of quantities and values (for example, (internal/external service, required materials) and the determined frequency.
