Pausing and Resuming the Flow of Data to the DOE

Prerequisites

Administrator must be assigned to the SAP_DOE_PAUSE_SINGLE_ADMIN role.

Context

You use this procedure to:

  • Pause the flow of data to the DOE

  • Resume the flow of data to the DOE

In addition, you can do the following:

  • View the background jobs and determine the appropriate time required for their completion before performing the pause or resume operation

  • Create a message to notify the mobile device users about the status of the DOE

Procedure

  1. Log on to the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.
  2. Choose the Administration tab.
  3. Under System Administration , choose Pause Resume Administration .
  4. Enter the appropriate details on the UI and follow the instructions in the wizard.
  5. Choose the Pause DOE pushbutton.

Results

You have temporarily interrupted the flow of data between the DOE and devices or back-end systems. You can now perform maintenance activities on the DOE. Make sure that you resume the flow of data after completion of the maintenance activities.
