Monitoring Data

Context

You use the data monitoring tool to:

Search for one or more specific instances of standard or packaged data
Navigate to the message monitoring tool for failed messages and view their details
View the overall status of the specific instance of data

Procedure

Log on to SAP NetWeaver AS.
Choose the Monitoring tab page.
Choose Data Monitoring .
Choose the type of data that you want monitor:
1. If you want to monitor the data for standard data objects, choose Standard Data .
2. If you want to monitor the data for distribution packages, choose Package Data .
  Note
  - To view the data details for the business fields of the distribution package, you must set the value for the DISABLE_MESSAGE_STORE key as ' '. To set the value, you use transaction SDOE_PARAM in the SAP DOE system's user menu. The DISABLE_MESSAGE_STORE key is listed under the DIST_PACKAGE parameter.
  - You must ensure that the above configuration is completed before any data processing begins. Otherwise, the system does not store the business fields internally to display them while you perform a search.
Specify the criteria for your search and choose Start Search .
In the Search Results pane, select the required row and view the details of the data.
Note
- On the Status tab, the system displays details such as the source of the data change (back-end system or user), the date, and if the data is in the CDS. The system also indicates the overall status of the data.
  - If you want to export the search results to a Microsoft Excel file, choose the Export .
  - If you want to compare the instances with the back-end data, choose the View Instance and then choose View Details and Compare .
    
    Note
    
    This option is not available for distribution packages.
  - If you want to view the history of the instance, choose the View Transactional History pushbutton.
- On the Receiver Details tab, you can view the details such as subscribed devices for the data, or whether the data is in the pending extracts, the outbound queue, or it has been sent to the device.
