Building a Hierarchy Group

Use

This procedure provides information on how to assign the following to a hierarchy group or a node within the hierarchy group:

Devices
Device Profiles
DM Software Component Versions
Mobile Components

Prerequisites

You have created a hierarchy group.
You have logged on to the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.

Procedure

Choose Administration .
Under Hierarchy Groups , choose Freestyle Hierarchy Groups .
Select the required hierarchy group or node.

Assigning Devices to a Hierarchy Group or Node

Expand the required hierarchy group or node.
Choose DEVICES .
Choose Add/Remove .
Enter the required search criteria and choose Go .
From the Search Results , choose Assign Device .

Note

To remove a device, from Assigned Devices , select the required devices and choose Unassign Device .
Choose Save .

Assigning Device Profiles to a Hierarchy Group or Node

Expand the required hierarchy group or node.
Choose DEVICE_PROFILE .
Choose Add/Remove .
Enter the required search criteria and choose Search .
From Available Device Profiles , choose Assign Device Profile .

Note

To remove a device profile, from Assigned Device Profiles , select the required device profiles and choose Unassign Device Profile .
Choose Save .

Assigning DMSWCVs to a Hierarchy Group or Node

Expand the required hierarchy group or node.
Choose DMSWCV .
Choose Add/Remove .
Enter the required search criteria and choose Search .
From Available DMSWCVs List , choose Assign DMSWCV .

Note

To remove DMSWCVs, from Assigned DMSWCVs List , select the required DMSWCVs and choose Unassign DMSWCV .
Choose Save .

Assigning MCDs to a Hierarchy Group or Node

Expand the required hierarchy group or node.
Choose MCD .
Choose Add/Remove .
Enter the required search criteria and choose Search .
From Available MCD List , choose Assign MCD .

Note

To remove MCDs, from Assigned MCD List , select the required MCDs and choose Unassign MCD .
Choose Save .
