Modifying Mobile Client Configurations

Prerequisites

You have logged on to the SAP NetWeaver Mobile administrator.

Context

You can configure settings related to the mobile client or MAXDB based on your requirements. For example, you can change the path where the client must be installed or the size of the database log file. In addition, for mobile components, you can specify the copy location or the silent command to execute it from the command prompt. For example:

  • You can specify D:/MDS as the path for the mobile component MASSDEVICESETUP_WIN32|71XXXX . to unpack itself.

  • You can specify the following silent command to install JRE from the command prompt - /qn ADDLOCAL=ALL IEXPLORER=1 INSTALLDIR=<Drive:>\java\jre

Procedure

  1. Choose the Administration. tab page
  2. Under Device Management , choose Device Profile Administration .
  3. Search for the device profile of type framework that you created.
  4. From the search results, select the required device profile.
  5. Under Device Profile Operations , choose Manage Client Configuration .
  6. Under Configuration for Setup Package Installables , choose Edit/Display .
  7. Edit the values as required.
  8. Choose Save .
  9. Under Mobile Components Configuration , choose Add .
  10. In the Mobile Component field, enter or select the required mobile component from the list.
  11. In the Silent Commandline/Copy Location field, enter the required value.
  12. Choose Save .
