Transporting Channels

Prerequisites

You have administrator rights on the SAP NetWeaver AS.

Context

When you create new channel definitions in the development system, you have to transport these definitions into a test or productive system. This procedure allows you to transport the channel definitions across different systems in the landscape. Channel transports are made through a transport request.

Procedure


  1. Log on to SAP NetWeaver AS, and start transaction SDOE_TRANSPORT_CHNL .

  2. Choose Display .

  3. Choose Start of the navigation pathTable View  Next navigation step TransportEnd of the navigation path and select the request for transporting the channel.

    If you do not have a request, you can create a new request by choosing Create Request and then entering its details.

  4. From the Maintenance View table, select the channels and choose Include in Request .

    The channel definitions are then included in the request and transported to the required systems, based on the transport mechanism defined for your landscape.
