Monitoring Logs and Traces

Use

This procedure allows you to monitor the logs and traces that are created for the operations that you perform on the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE).

Prerequisites

You have logged on to SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.

Procedure

  1. Choose the Monitoring tab page.

  2. Choose Logs and Traces .

  3. Under Environment , choose the required environment.

  4. Enter the required search criteria and choose Start Search .

    The logs and trace details are displayed under Search Results .

To view the device inventory logs, you must navigate to the Device Administration screen and search for a specific device. When you click the specific device hyperlink, you can view the device inventory logs on the Device History tab.

The DOE stores the device inventory logs for the duration specified by the DEV_INVENTORY_LOG_ARCHIVE_TIME DOE configuration parameter. Logs,other than the device inventory logs, are stored in the DOE for the duration specified by the Days to hold parameter in the SMMW_REORG_LOG report. However, there are some exceptions:

  • If Days to hold > DEV_INVENTORY_LOG_ARCHIVE_TIME , the DOE retains device inventory logs and the other logs for the days specified by the Days to hold parameter.

  • If Days to hold < DEV_INVENTORY_LOG_ARCHIVE_TIME , the DOE retains device inventory logs for the days specified by the DEV_INVENTORY_LOG_ARCHIVE_TIME parameter and the other logs for the days specified in the Days to hold parameter.
