Archiving Alerts

Context

The Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) receives various alerts triggered by the client devices, back-end systems, or other systems that are connected to it. You must archive these alerts at regular intervals to ensure that the size of the alert store does not increase significantly. You can archive alerts to a:

  • Backup table in the DOE

  • File in the DOE

  • File on your local machine

Procedure


  1. Log on the SAP NetWeaver AS and start transaction S DOE _ ARCHIVE _ ALERTS .

  2. Under Alert Selection , enter the required search criteria.

  3. Under Actions , select Save As .

  4. Select the required location. You can archive the alerts to the following locations:

    Location

    Description

    Application Server

    Archives the alerts to a file in the DOE

    Front End

    Archives the alerts to a file on your local machine

    Backup Table

    Archives the alerts to a table in the DOE

    1. Under Location , enter the name of the file along with the path.

    2. Choose Execute .

      The alerts that match the search criteria appear.

    3. Choose Save .

      The selected alerts are archived.
