Creating a System Message
Use
A system message allows you to send important information to client devices. For example, you can create a system message if you want to send information about the date and time of server maintenance to client devices.
Prerequisites
You have logged on to the SAP NetWeaver Mobile Administrator.

Procedure

Choose the Mobile Overview tab page.

Under Common Administration Tasks section, choose System Messages .

Choose the Create System Messages tab page.

In the Custom Group field, select the required custom group from the dropdown list.

In the Attribute Name field, select the required device attribute from the dropdown list.

In the Attribute Value field, enter a value for the device attribute.

In the Action on Expiry field, select one of the following:

Deactivate - deactivates all the messages for which the lifetime has expired

Delete - deletes all the messages for which the lifetime has expired from the CDS

In the Lifetime Day field, enter the number of days for which the message is valid.

In the Lifetime Hours field, enter the number of hours for which the message is valid.

Choose Add .

In the Message text field, enter the required message.

In the Language field, enter the language of the message.

Choose Save .
After you create a message, it is activated automatically and sent to all the devices that meet the specified criteria.
