Defining a Variant to Archive the Message Store Tables

Context

A variant allows you to define conditions based on which you can archive the data in the message store tables. For example, you can define a variant to archive the data for a specific time period, such as data for the last six months.

Procedure


  1. Log on to the SAP NetWeaver AS and start transaction S DOE _WRITE MSG .

  2. Enter a process ID.

  3. Under Date Range Selection , select the required date range.

  4. Under Date Selection , enter the required dates.

  5. Under Processing Options , select the required mode.

  6. In the Detail Log field, select the required option.

  7. In the Log Output field, select the required output option.

  8. In the Archiving Session Note field, enter a note for the session if required.

  9. Choose Save .
