Software Package

Use

A software package contains all the relevant software and applications that a device needs to be productive. In the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE), the software and applications that can be deployed on a device are called mobile components. The mobile components that are part of a software package are:

• Database

• Framework

• JRE

• Mobile applications

If the users of client devices do not need initial data to perform their activities immediately after device setup is complete, then you must use the software package to set up such devices. Setting up devices by using software packages is less time-consuming compared to setup packages. This is because setup packages also contain data that must be sent to devices as part of the setup.
