Object documentationSocial Security Philippines infotype (0422)

Employee SSS information consists of data used by the payroll program to calculate the SSS contributions paid by the employer and employee in each payroll period. The data is maintained in the Social Security Philippines infotype (0422).

For SSS contributions to be calculated by the payroll program, you must enter data for each employee in the Social Security Philippines infotype (0422).

Note Note

Employees who do not have a valid record in this infotype will be rejected during the payroll calculation.

End of the note.

For new employees, you can create records in the Social Security Philippines infotype through a hiring action. If your employees' social security system details change, you can create new SSS records in master data by delimiting the old records and entering a new validity period for the new records.

Structure

The Social Security Philippines infotype enables you to maintain:

  • SSS membership numbers for your employees

  • Social security contribution exemption statuses

  • Percentage rates over the statutory minimum paid by the employer towards an employee's:

    • SSS contributions

    • Medicare contributions

    • Employee compensation (EC)

  • Percentage rates over the statutory minimum paid by the employee towards:

    • SSS contributions

    • Medicare contributions

Integration

Before you maintain records in the Social SecurityPhilippines infotype, project teams must configure the Social Security (SSS) section of Customizing for Payroll Philippines.

If changes are made to the Social Security Philippines infotype after payroll has been processed and exited, the system automatically triggers a retroactive run for the period for which the data was changed. Differences calculated during the retroactive run are then reported in the subsequent payroll period.
