Report Application Server .NET SDK Developer Guide

If you are using the RAS assemblies in conjunction with a CrystalReport Viewer control, you will need to install a version of Crystal Reports. Crystal Reports is available for purchase as a separate application, or as a version that is installed as part of most versions of Microsoft Visual Studio.

If you intend to use Crystal Reports for Visual Studio, you must verify that the version of Visual Studio that you have installed ships with Crystal Reports for Visual Studio.

Crystal Reports component

For Visual Studio versions older than Visual Studio 2010, by default, the Crystal Reports component is installed as part of your Visual Studio installation. If you must install the Crystal Reports component, relaunch the Visual Studio installer and follow directions to add enterprise development tools.
