Collecting Communication Data for Unified Connectivity
Use
Statistics about the RFC communication that is currently being used must be collected and evaluated before combining RFC functions in your system in a CA .
SAP provides the batch job SAP_UCON_MANAGEMENT for this purpose. This batch job starts further batch jobs that enable the collection of the required UCON data.
You can evaluate the results using CCMS Monitoring (transaction RZ20).
Prerequisites
You have activated the UC components using the system parameter ucon/rfc/active or a configured default CA exists in your system in a client of your choice.
Process
- The batch job SAP_UCON_MANAGEMENT can be scheduled in two different scenarios:

Scheduling for new installation of system: Select transaction SM36 (batch requirement) and schedule SAP_UCON_MANAGEMENT and all other standard batch jobs that are required for system operation.

Existing system installation: Add SAP_UCON_MANAGEMENT to the standard batch jobs that already exist.

- Enter the following properties for SAP_UCON_MANAGEMENT:

SAP Component= BC

Job Name= SAP_UCON_MANAGEMENT

- Select transaction RZ20 (CCMS Monitoring). Under monitor collection SAP Unified Connectivity Monitor Templates, you can call a corresponding view of the batch job SAP_UCON_STATISTIC_RECORDS in order to get information about the inbound RFC-enabled function module.
