Monitoring CA Implementations
Use
To monitor the process of the CA implementation, you can use the central CCMS (Computing Center Management System) monitoring. This enables you to:
-
Get information about the CA infrastructure
-
Call the status of all RFC function modules in every implementation phase
-
Display information about error causes at runtime
-
Recognize and solve configuration errors in the CA implementation
In addition to this the following transactions are available to you for the CA implementation:
-
UCONPHTL (Phase Administration Tool for Unified Connectivity)
-
UCONCONF (UCON Configuration)
Process
-
Select transaction RZ20 (CCMS Monitoring).
-
Here you can monitor the following UCON parameters using the monitor collection SAP Unified Connectivity Monitor Templates:
-
Settings for RFC Unified Connectivity (system parameter and status of standard CA), both at system-wide or client-specific level
-
Infrastructure of CA implementation (status of RFC function modules such as consistency of the database tables at runtime and development time)
-
Status of Batch JobSAP_UCON_STATISTIC_RECORDS
-
-
You can configure corresponding error and earning messages for individual display elements as well as defined corresponding automatic messages to the system administration.
-
Using Phase Administration Tools for Unified Connectivity (transaction UCONPHTL), you can display detailed lists about the used and unused RFC function modules in the different implementation phases (logging, evaluation, active phase). Among others, these lists contain information about how often a specific function module was called.
-
Using transaction UCONCONF you can also change the configuration for virtual hosts and the standard CA as required (Operations -> Unified Conn. Browser).
-
In transaction UCONCONF (UCON Configuration), you find detailed information about the standard CA and the virtual host that is used.
