Maintaining a Module in the Module Catalog

Procedure

  1. From the SAP menu, choose Start of the navigation path Student Lifecycle Management Next navigation step Academic Structure (Curriculum) Next navigation step Study Planning Next navigation step Module Catalog End of the navigation path .

    The Module Catalog screen appears . The module catalog uses the object manager , which is a convenient user tool for object search and selection.

  2. Select a module using the object manager.

  3. Check the key date using ( Change key date ), and change it if necessary.

    You can enter a user-specific key date. If you do not enter a user-specific key date, the system uses the current date as the key date.

    The processing options for modules ( icon - object type SM) are described in the following table.

    • Internal qualification (A528: Imparts )

    • Internal qualification (A529: Needs prerequisite )

    • Module (A529: Needs prerequisite )

    • Module (A533: Is corequisite of )

    Create object at same level

    Same level

    Creates a module group or module at the module level.

    Copy module

    ( Create with template )

    The selected module is used as a template for the new module.

    Create relationship between module and objects

    Creates a relationship between the module and the following existing objects:

    • Internal qualification (A528: Imparts )

    • Internal qualification (A529: Needs prerequisite )

    • Business event type (A507: Consists of )

    • Rule container (B509: Uses)

    • Module (A529: Needs prerequisite )

    • Module (A533: Is corequisite of )

    Delimit module

    ( Delimit )

    Delimits the validity period of the module.

    Delete relationship

    ( Delete relationship )

    Deletes the relationship between the module and the organizational unit (A501: Offers).

    Delete reference

    Reference

    Deletes the relationship between the module and the module to which it refers (A511: Refers to).

    Change module data

    ( Change )

    Select the module you want to change.

    Maintain business event offering

    ( Maintain business event offering )

    Enables you to maintain the business event offering (business event packages, business events) of modules.

    Maintain individual work

    (Maintain individual work data)

    Enables you to maintain individual work data for modules which are assigned a category designated as individual work . You assign the category in the Module Data infotype (1746).
