Use
In formulas, you manage material and substance data that you need in recipes. You can create a formula as an independent formulaor as an integral part of a recipe as a recipe-dependent formula(see Formula Assignment ). You can distinguish between the following formulas in a recipe:
The recipe formula is the formula directly assigned to the recipe but not to any of its stages.
The stage formula is the formula assigned to a stage of the recipe.
Structure
Formulas are realized in the SAP system as
specifications
of the category
recipe formula
and are grouped according to the formula type, that is, the
specification type
. They comprise the following:
The formula master with the formula views
The formula views combine related data that is displayed together on one tab page in formula editing.
A master data enhancement in the form of value assignment typesin the property tree for the formula
You enter data not included in the standard system in the value assignment for the formula in value assignment types.
