Saving of Formula View Data in the Property Tree You can save the calculated data or manually entered data for most formula views in the property tree . The data is saved in the property tree for the substance of the primary output if the primary output is a substance, and in the property tree for the formula if the primary output is a stream.
Also, the system automatically saves the data for the
Input and Output
formula view in the property tree for the formula when the recipe workbench is in edit mode and you exit the
Input and Output
view.
You are authorized to change the data of the primary output or the formula.

If the system has calculated an evaporation or absorption in a composition, it does not transfer it to the composition to the property tree. In the same way, it does not transfer streams to the composition in the property tree. A warning is then displayed.
If the primary output of a formula is a stream, the system uses the data it calculated in the
Input and Output
formula view for the total solids and density. If these calculated values change, this affects all formulas in which the stream is used as the input. Therefore, the system recalculates all subsequent stage formulas in the recipe.
In the property tree, you can only enter compositions to an accuracy of four decimal places. A higher level of accuracy is possible in the formula. This means that there may be a loss of accuracy when formula data is transferred to the property tree. With the Business Add-In (BAdI)
Conversion of Formula Data to EH&S Data
, you can convert the data to be transferred into other units and thus prevent or at least reduce losses of accuracy when saving data in the property tree.
