offers an alternative data entry screen to
CATS classic, CATS regular,
and the
Mobile Time Sheet.
The data entry screen for
CATS for service providers
is based on recording billable services, and therefore does not resemble a traditional paper timesheet.
CATS for service providers
enables you to specify basic data that is often valid for more than one day. You can then record task components (such as miles/kms driven, overtime, and so on).
CATS for service providers
allows you to enter employee time data for processing by other SAP components. You must therefore implement at least one other of the components listed below. You can provide data to the components individually or in combination.
The following restriction currently exists when combining
CATS for service providers
with other user interfaces of the Time Sheet: In the other independent user interfaces, you can only display and not change data that you entered with

CATS for service providers,

Internally,
CATS for service providers
groups different task components to a task using a task number that is common to all. This function is only available with
CATS for service providers.
You can enter working times for individual task components in two ways:
With time units, which
CATS for service providers
then converts to hours
With start and end clock times
You can use wage types and statistical key figures or activity numbers to record quantities and a number of pieces.
You can enter working times and tasks for other employees.
CATS for service providers
provides different utilities to simplify data entry:
Information about existing tasks is displayed in the My Account Assignments area as a guide.
Additional information, for example, confirmation pools, is available in a worklist .
In the History area, existing working times are available that you can change, delete, or copy.

you can branch to Material Withdraw

In the
Travel Expenses
area,
CATS for service providers
displays all an employee’s trips for which you started the application.
CATS for service providers
uses the authorization concept used in
Human Resources
to protect personal data.
All data records are assigned a unique document number, which means they can be tracked at any time.
If Customizing does not allow you to portray all your customer-specific requirements, a range of SAP enhancements and BAdIs are also available.
