Product Market Coverage

Purpose

The product market coverage process allows you to distribute publications to all households free of charge, for example for advertising purposes.

Defining Market Coverage Products in the System

Products used for market coverage are created in the system as market coverage products . Market coverage products have their own publication calendar. They can either be delivered to all households or only to households that do not subscribe to certain products.

Defining Households in the System

You can enter household addresses , which do not contain the names of the residents, for market coverage. Special fields have been added to the business partner master for this purpose. As far as possible, customer addresses are automatically assigned to the households. This means it is possible to determine whether the residents of a household are subscribers or non-subscribers.

Types of Market Coverage

Delivery of market coverage products in distribution districts can take place in the following two ways:

  • Total market coverage

The market coverage product is delivered separately to all households in the district that do not already receive it in combination with a subscription.

  • Market saturation

The market coverage product is delivered to all households in the distribution district, irrespective of whether they already have a subscription to another media product.
