You can compare multiple plan versions to compare the cost, revenue, and other customized key figures based on resource type, resource, and other characteristics. The Compare Bid, Plan, Actual, and Forecastworkbook is available for version comparison and all data is displayed as read-only. This workbook allows you to compare data from bid, plan, and forecast versions, along with actual data.

Prerequisites

  • You have the required roles and authorizations.

  • Financial plans linked with master project structures (also known as execution structures) or bid structures exist.

  • SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, edition for Microsoft Office is installed on your system.

  • You have made the following settings in Customizing for SAP Commercial Project Management under Start of the navigation path Project Cost and Revenue Planning End of the navigation path:

    • Define Plan Scenarios

    • Define Plan Types

    • Define Resource Types

    • Define Resources

Procedure

  1. On the Financial Plan screen, enter a financial plan.

  2. Under the Versions section, select the plan versions you wish to compare.

  3. Choose Start of the navigation path Reports Next navigation step Version Comparison End of the navigation path.

    The system launches a dialog box where you can choose a workbook and view the plan data in a spreadsheet.
