  1. Select the row where you wish to insert a new line item.

  2. On the Analysis ribbon, in the Financial Planning group, choose Insert.

In planning workbooks, the system inserts a new line item, with 1 as the default quantity or cost across the plan period. In forecast workbooks, the system inserts a new line item with 1 as the default ETC quantity or cost, only in the period next to the forecast period.

  4. Enter the quantities for the new line item.

    Note Note

Ensure that the new line item contains valid input and unique characteristics within a structure element. The system does not calculate line items that contain duplicate characteristics or invalid input.

    End of the note.
  5. In the Financial Planning group, choose Calculate.

The summary records are aggregated at the superordinate node levels.

  6. On the Analysis ribbon, in the Planning group, choose Save Data to transfer the data to the InfoCube.
