Authorizations Using Project Workspace Roles
Project managers can use this function to manage project-based access control through the assignment of users to roles and the assignment of responsibilities to team members.

Project managers can control access to data and functions based on the needs of each role and specific tasks assigned to each member.
Create master project teams
Using the Team Structure
page of Project Workspace
, create the master project team and its structure, along with the roles required in each team.
Assign users to teams and roles
In this step, you assign members to the various roles in the master project team. With this assignment, members inherit the access controls that have been defined for their role.
Assign responsibilities to team members
In this step, you assign members with specific responsibility for business objects in the master project structure or financial plans for the master project. With the assignment of responsibility, the member’s access control is restricted only to the objects for which they are responsible.
Note
While assigning responsibility for business objects, you can allow a member to inherit responsibility for all subobjects too.
