Bundling of Orders with RelationshipsRelated operations for one component may be split among different orders. If you want to treat these separate orders as one, you define relationships to determine the sequence of the operations.
At runtime the system internally bundles the operations from the related orders and performs all of the CMC calculations. The user maintains the sequence on operation level.
Example
Two orders exist (4711 and 4712) for the same equipment. There are four operations: 10 and 20 belong to 4711, and 30 and 40 to 4712. The operation numbers imply the sequence. If order 4711 is performed in work center A and order 4712 in work center B, the CMC shows two lines: ‘10-20 in order 4711 performed in A’ and ‘30-40 in order 4712 performed in B’. Note that if all operations belong to one work center, the CMC still displays 2 lines - because the order number acts as a delimiter.
You must maintain unique operation numbers and a sequence defined by ascending operation numbers.
Any changes that you make to one operation or order in the CMC, also automatically changes the related orders and operations.
You define whether the CMC uses this feature in CMC Customizing under CMC profiles .
