Transport and Wait Time

In respect of scheduling and buffer distribution, you may want to include transport and wait times (TWT) between operations in different work centers to provide more exact scheduling dates and times.

You define a standard and a minimum move time between work centers in the PP transport matrix. The system uses this information when distributing the total available buffer. The default is standard, however, from within the CMC you can switch between standard and minimum transport times. Minimum transport times are useful if you need to reduce the move time to achieve faster processing of a particular order.

Example Example

You define that the standard move time from work center A to B and from B to A is 2 hours. The minimum move time both ways is set to 30 minutes. The transport matrix also allows you to define asymmetric transport times, that is from A to B it takes 2 hours while from B to A it takes 3 hours.

To define transport and wait times, in the IMG choose Start of the navigation path Production Next navigation step Basic Data Next navigation step Work Center Next navigation step General Data Next navigation step Define Move Time Matrix End of the navigation path .

Note Note

You define whether the CMC considers TWT in CMC Customizing under CMC profiles .
