Time Transfer Specifications Infotype (2012) Time transfers allow you to make changes to the time balances that have been calculated in time evaluation. This means that in exceptional cases you can change the results of time evaluation.

An employee has a flextime credit of five hours. These should be transferred to the compensation time account.
Three hours should be transferred from the employee’s compensation time quota to his or her flextime balance.

You transfer times by choosing a particular time transfer type. Time transfer types are subtypes of the
Time Transfer Specifications
infotype (2012).
The time transfer types that you can choose from are specified in the system settings. The transfers take effect the next time that time evaluation has been run without errors.
The system posts the times according to the selected time transfer type. The name of the time transfer type usually indicates the nature of the changes it makes.
The specified number of hours can be transferred in the following ways, depending on the time transfer type:
Transfer to a wage type

If the flextime balance contains more than 5 hours, you want the excess hours to be remunerated.
Transfer to one or more time types
The specified number of hours increases or reduces a time balance.

The accumulated compensation time is transferred to the flextime balance. The flextime balance is increased by the specified number of hours.
Transfer to an absence quota
You can either increase or reduce an employee's absence entitlement.
Set a time type to a fixed value
The value of a time balance is set to the number of hours you specify in the infotype. If your system is configured accordingly, the difference can also be transferred to another balance.

The flextime balance is set to a fixed value of ten hours. Any hours above the limit are to be remunerated and incorporated in an overtime account.
Time transfer specifications are always made with reference to a specific validity date. If you enter a longer validity period, the system carries out the time transfer on each day of the period.
