Time Substitutions You can use this form of substitution to store individual planned working times and break times for a substitution. You specify the different working time by entering the start and end times and, if required, the break times for the required period.
You are recommended to use this function if you cannot use a comparable daily work schedule or work schedule rule to represent the substitution.
Note: A time substitution overwrites the employee’s work schedule for the specified period. Therefore, if you enter a short substitution for an employee, his or her planned working time will then be adjusted to the duration you entered.
When entering the time substitution, you can record information regarding how the working time is to be valuated. If required, you can specify the
daily work schedule class. A default
daily work schedule class
is proposed by the system from the daily work schedule originally assigned to the employee. You can overwrite the default value.
The system does not initially take account of break times for time substitutions. If you want break times to be taken into account, you have to enter them. To do so, you can choose one of the following options:
You enter a break schedule to define when an employee is permitted to take breaks.
You enter individual break times. Specify whether employees are paid when they are on breaks, and if so, whether for the entire break, or only part of it.
Saskia de Leuww has a planned working time of 08:00 to 17:00. On January 21, 2004, she is to work from 12:00 – 21:00. You enter the times of the substitution and the new break times.
